Your donation above and beyond your membership is important to the life of the Museum. You may designate a donation to be used in any area you wish.
Endowment
You may designate a donation in any amount to the MMFA’s general endowment, or restrict your endowment donation to a specific purpose such as acquisitions. The yield (such as interest and dividends) from your endowment gift will be used as needed, but the principal will be invested to help to grow the Museum’s endowment.
Acquisitions
The Museum welcomes your donation in support of the expansion of the permanent collection other than that restricted to endowment. The director, curator, and acquisitions committee members keep abreast of the art market. Your gifts for the purpose of acquiring art for the Museum will help them take timely advantage of a unique opportunity.
Memorials and Tributes
You can make contributions in honor or in memory of friends and family members. All memorial and tribute gifts are held in the Museum’s endowment to sustain the future of MMFA. An elegant gift card will be sent to the person you designate.
Legacy Society
Don’t forget your Museum when making plans to distribute your estate. Consider leaving a fixed amount or percentage to the Museum in your will or estate plans. Contact your financial advisor or attorney to review your options. When you inform us of your completed plans, the Museum will recognize you as a member of its Legacy Society.
